I Just Launched Expendica — A Finance App That Respects Your Privacy

·3 min read

For the longest time, I wanted a simple way to track my expenses without being forced to create an account, share my data, or deal with ads.
So I built one.

Why I Built Expendica

Most personal finance apps today are bloated with features, flooded with ads, and require you to give up your privacy before you even start tracking a dollar.

I didn’t want that.

I wanted something:

  • Minimal
  • Offline
  • Private
  • And fast enough to use without overthinking

So I built Expendica — a privacy-first expense tracker designed for people who want clarity, not complexity.

What Makes It Different

Expendica doesn’t track you.
It doesn’t ask you to sign up.
It doesn’t send your data to the cloud.

All your financial data stays on your device. That’s it.
This is how personal finance should be.

What It Can Do

  • Track income and expenses
  • Categorize your spending
  • Filter by date, type, category, or payment status
  • Get daily, monthly, and yearly summaries
  • Set reminders for upcoming payments
  • Choose your currency: Dollar, Euro, Pound, Yen, Lira, and more

It’s built natively for iPhone using SwiftUI — no cross-platform weirdness, just buttery-smooth Apple-native experience.

If you want a simple way to stay on top of your money — without giving up your privacy — Expendica might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

And if you like it, I’d love a quick rating. Every bit of support counts 🙏
